During our webinar at the beginning of September, Dame Judith Hackitt informed us that ‘only 50% of the High Rise Buildings had been registered with the BSR (around 6-7000 buildings), with only a month to go until the 1st October deadline’.

Having spoken with the HSE at the beginning of the week, we were informed that in the last month ‘registration has increased significantly’, which represents ‘major momentum for building safety’, with over 13,000 applications now having been filed.

But there was also a stark warning for those that still haven’t registered “We are now urgently reminding the minority of duty holders who have missed the deadline for completing their registration application, that they could now face significant sanctions, including prosecution. Please respond to your legal duty – act now and register to avoid action being taken against you”.
